Choosing a proper template for your website is of paramoun importance. It will either make your life much easier down the road or much more difficult. Scalability is key, and when one of your clients wants to revamp their site, or add some key features you're going to wish you had thought ahead and chosen a proper template.
Luckily, you're not alone in this. It takes skill to be able to make something scalable for the future, especially when you may not know what the future holds. This is where your initial client consultations play a huge role. Make sure to ask your client questions such as:
- Where do you see your site in 1 year? 5 years?
- Do you anticipate adding more features in the future, and if so, what kind?
- What kind of experience do you want to provide your visitors?
These are just a few examples, but may help in giving you a better idea of what your clients' future holds, even before they really know...
